Hawaii's COVID-19 travel rules could remain set up into the following year

Hawaii's COVID-19 travel rules could remain set up into the following year

Hawaii's arrangement of requiring immunizations or an adverse COVID-19 test to sidestep quarantine rules for individuals entering the state will probably remain set up into the following year, Lt. Gov. Josh Green said.

Green told Hawaii News Now he doesn't think the Safe Travels program will disappear "until the remainder of the world has seen an extraordinary decline in COVID. My stomach lets me know the lead representative will be hesitant to get rid of it until spring 2022.

Green has administered the Safe Travels program however the lead representative has the last say on any changes.

The program has been running for over a year. Hawaii has among the most noteworthy inoculation rates in the country.

Some accept the program is awful for business.

It wouldnt hurt to get rid of it, said Arianna Stephens, supervisor at the Waikiki Grass Shack Bistro. We dont get as a lot of that nearby group coming in time and again, so its truly hard to attempt to support the business.

A few guests said they wouldn't fret the limitations.

It would not stop me from returning, said Wisconsin guest Paul Kinzel
